A Futuristic Musical Comedy
Witness the world of The Ants!
Two countries exist; one is kept happy in single-minded
subservience to the controlling computer, SHE. The other,
without order, exists to steal technology.
As SHE’S Programmers meddle with the new program to
challenge the computers reign, two spies bluff their way into
the computer’s city, determined to steal their way into
accessing the Resources of Power.
Peppered with zany humor, and the skewering traditions of a
1930’s political burlesque, the work is Andrea von Ramm’s
biting laugh at a society functioning without question, under
order, and dedicated to its own survival.
Left as a finished draft by Andrea, the book and verse are
being reshaped by Tom Minter, as composer David Hahn
creates a sound world which pulses with the music of wit,
sarcasm, dissonance and seduction.
In this extended collaboration, The Ants emerges as a
musical of the Fantastic.....

A triptych of plays
The Orion
A mother wishers her son to live the past; the son strives to
make his own mark in the present- and a corporate young
woman risks the reach over her boss.
With this, three strands of black America jostle to balance
legacy and achievement, against the inconsistencies and
perceptions of success.
As a new piece of theatre, The Orion strides across the
mediums of television, video documentary and live
performance, to engage us in the challenge to recognize how
we each, choose our own way.
Breathing Ash
2006; America is on the precipice of racial chaos. In the
shadow of the upcoming vote to re-ratify the Voting Rights
Act, the President manipulates a crisis of policy, a General
wages war through the streets of America, a Prophet
subverts America's telecommunications, a minister stumbles
out of his community and onto the world stage, and a son
tramples the fine line between the just and the criminal.
"Breathing Ash" scrutinizes a series of coincidental events
whose outcome could lead America to the brink of self-
immolation.
America Rex
The last empire. Nature, not man, is destroyer ; a nomad, a
general and the Speaker of the Senate are the three men
who hold the future to civilization. As the last of mankind
clambers to breech the great border barrier of America, the
fate of humanity rests in a choice made between morality,
power and hope.
Through untraditional storytelling and the deconstruction of
all formats of media....in Caliban's eye is an immense
tapestry weaving three panels of America into a triptych of
reflections. Through these three plays, we traverse issues of
race, culture, power, politics, imagination, and survival-myth.
